Liam Concannon set the school-record in the 10,000-meter to open the Danny Curran Invitational on Friday.
No team score was recorded as Stevens faced MAC foes such as Alvernia and Arcadia while also seeing regional opponents Rowan and TCNJ.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Concannon led the team's performance at the meet with a strong fifth-place finish in the 10,000-meter race, with his new school-record time of 30:44.91. He surpassed Michael Cahill's mark of 31:21.07, which was set on May 16, 2013. In the same event,
Jake Porco secured 21st place with a time of 32:38.39, followed by
Frank Orlando in 29th at 33:04.81 and Joseph Ruben in 37th at 33:54.25.
Bryan Onody competed in the 5,000-meter race, finishing 43rd with a time of 15:40.3.
In the field events,
Justin Gajewski placed 19th in the triple jump with a mark of 12.3 meters. In the shot put,
Cooper Kinsley finished 41st with a throw of 11.39 meters, while Emmanuel Vega followed closely in 43rd place with an 11.31-meter effort.
