Chester, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's track & field team opened up competition at the Danny Curran Invitational on Friday.
No team score was recorded as Stevens faced MAC foes such as Alvernia and Arcadia while also seeing regional opponents Rowan and TCNJ.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Anacarolina Ventura highlighted the team's field performances with an 11th-place finish in the discus, achieving a personal best of 35.69 meters. She also competed in the shot put, finishing 45th with a throw of 9.11 meters, while
Michelle Elias Flores placed 35th in the same event with a mark of 9.62 meters.
On the track,
Fionna Feerick secured 11th place in the 10,000-meter race with a time of 40:21.93, followed by
Samantha Rozek in 24th at 41:55.76 and
Catherine Bondi in 34th at 45:08.47. In the 5,000-meter event,
Jacqueline Lulaj finished 41st with a time of 20:24.61.
