Men's Track & Field Closes Out Danny Curran Invitational

Chester, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's track & field team closed out the two-day Danny Curran Invitational on Saturday.

No team score was recorded as Stevens faced MAC foes such as Alvernia and Arcadia while also seeing regional opponents Rowan and TCNJ.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Daniel Jutras also impressed, securing seventh place in the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:58.02 and ninth in the 800 meters, finishing in 1:54.23. In the 110-meter hurdles, Ethan Stallone placed tenth with a time of 15.24 seconds, while he also competed in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing 14th in 57.63 seconds.

In the mid-distance events, Ryan Paradine placed 12th in the 1,500 meters, running 3:59.46, and later took 31st in the 800 meters with a time of 1:59.57. Jake Aylmer finished 20th in the 1,500 meters, crossing in 4:03.14, and later took 42nd in the 800 meters at 2:01.25. In the longer distances, Jake Porco finished 21st in the 10,000 meters with a time of 32:38.39, while Frank Orlando placed 29th in 33:04.81. 

In the sprint events, Kyle Savino was the team's top performer in the 400 meters, finishing 20th in 49.42 seconds. He also placed 36th in the 200 meters at 22.70 seconds. Douglas Winant competed in multiple sprints, placing 44th in the 100 meters with a time of 11.33 seconds and 89th in the 200 meters at 23.43 seconds. The 4x100-meter relay team of Hackett, Savino, Robinson, and Winant placed 11th with a time of 44.15 seconds.

In the field events, William Ladd finished 17th in the high jump with a clearance of 1.78 meters. Michael Dao placed 14th in the pole vault, clearing 3.95 meters, while Connor Efinger led the team in the long jump, finishing 30th with a mark of 6.10 meters.
