Shanley, Ryazanova Compete In Heptathlon During Day One of TCNJ Multi & Invite

Ewing, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's track & field team saw Isabella Shanley and Stephanie Ryazanova compete in the heptathlon during the opening day of the TCNJ Multi and Invite on Friday. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Isabella Shanley led the Stevens heptathlon group with a 6th-place finish overall, totaling 2,296 points through the first four events. Shanley opened with a strong 15.85 in the 100-meter hurdles (733 points) and cleared 1.47 meters in the high jump (588 points). She added 395 points in the shot put (7.93m) and clocked 27.81 in the 200-meter dash (646 points).
 
Stephanie Ryazanova placed 10th overall with 1,838 points. She ran 17.78 in the 100-meter hurdles (511 points) and cleared 1.29 meters in the high jump (399 points), followed by a 7.61m throw in the shot put (374 points) and a strong 26.61 in the 200m (745 points).

Day two of the TCNJ Invitational continues Friday, with events scheduled to begin at noon.
