Ewing, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's track & field team resumed competition at the TCNJ Multi & Invite on Friday, finishing up the decathlon while also competing in the 5,000-meter and hammer throw.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Connor Efinger led the way for Stevens, finishing eighth overall with 4,224 points. He started off with an 12.15 in the 100m (622 points), followed by a 5.83m long jump (550), an 8.88m shot put (419), and a 1.74m high jump (577). He closed day one with a 54.85 in the 400m (605). On day two, he ran 17.16 in the 110m hurdles (608), threw 19.46m in the discus (262), cleared 2.10m in the pole vault (159), and ended with a 5:25.44 the 1500m (422).
James Johnson followed in ninth place with 4087 points. He ran 12.04 in the 100m (643), jumped 4.80m in the long jump (345), threw 9.83m in the shot put (475), cleared 1.50m in the high jump (389), and ran 56.86 in the 400m (526). On day two, he ran 18.74 in the 110m hurdles (455), threw 25.59m in the discus (378), cleared 2.70m in the pole vault (286), launched a 35.90m javelin throw (383), and finished with a 6:14.64 in the 1500m (207).
Calvin Gibson placed 10th with 4,048 points. He opened with a 12.33 in the 100m (588), jumped 5.62m in the long jump (506), threw 9.00m in the shot put (426), cleared 1.59m in the high jump (457), and ran 55.61 in the 400m (575). Day two included a 17.02 in the 110m hurdles (622), a 22.82m discus throw (325), 2.70m in the pole vault (286), and a 27.40m javelin throw (263).
Brandon Kiefer placed 13th with 2794 points. His marks included 11.4in the 100m (774), 6.18m in the long jump (591), and 10.45m in the shot put (513). On day two, he ran 18.17 in the 110m hurdles (508) and closed with a 37.66m throw in the javelin (408). In the men's hammer throw, senior
