Ewing, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's track & field team closed out the TCNJ Invite & Multi on Saturday.
No team score was recorded, and Stevens competed against MAC foes Arcadia, FDU-Florham, Eastern, and Widener while also seeing Ithaca and TCNJ amongst others.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Maggie Previglian led the way with a runner-up finish in the high jump, clearing 1.58 meters (5-02.25), followed closely by
Allie Canciani in third place at 1.48 meters (4-10.25). In the 400 meter hurdles,
Anya Sadowski raced to a strong third-place finish in 1:08.89. The 800 meters saw
Isabella Gabay finish fifth in 2:26.96, with
Taylor Enes close behind in tenth at 2:29.32 and
Nina Burden in eleventh at 2:30.14. First-year
Madeline Bender added a twenty-first-place result in 2:40.87.
In the 400 meters,
Isabel Vogel ran 1:03.81 to place eleventh overall, while
Kate Cen recorded a season-best 1:07.11 for twentieth.
Kaitlyn Adams was the top finisher in the 1500 meters, placing tenth in 5:02.24. She was followed by Bender in twenty-third (5:17.54),
Samantha Rozek in thirty-first (5:28.71), and
Gianna Adamo in forty-fourth (5:56.28).
The discus throw featured solid depth for the team, with
Ashley Muliawan placing seventh at 33.28 meters (109-02).
Breona Pizzuta followed in twelfth with a personal-best 31.31 meters (102-08), and
Claire Deatrick threw a season-best 28.06 meters (92-00) to take nineteenth.
Michelle Elias Flores landed in twenty-sixth with a 24.03-meter (78-10) mark, and
Josephine Lulaj finished twenty-ninth with a personal-best 20.83 meters (68-04). In the shot put, Elias Flores was twenty-seventh overall with a mark of 8.57 meters (28-01.50).
