Chester, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's track & field team closed out the Paul Donahue Invitational with several standout performances on Saturday afternoon.
The meet, which was not scored, featured Stevens competing against conference foes including Arcadia, Albright, Delaware Valley, DeSales, Lebanon Valley, Messiah, and Widener.
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the open section of the 800 meters, junior
Mick Barbi paced the Ducks with a time of 1:57.75 to place 32nd. He was followed by first-year Matt Hodorowski (2:00.06), junior
Caleb Stephen (2:00.58), senior
Jake Aylmer (2:02.25), and first-year
Kevin Medrow (2:04.04). Aylmer also impressed in the 1500 meters, placing 16th in 3:59.74, just ahead of junior Daniel Jutras (18th, 4:00.43). Additional competitors included senior
Bryan Onody (4:02.96), Stephen (4:06.88), Medrow (4:11.64), and first-year
Luke Giangrande (4:38.67).
In the 3000-meter steeplechase, sophomore
Ryan Paradine earned a fifth-place finish with a time of 9:40.61. In the 5000 meters, senior
Liam Concannon led the team with a 17th-place effort in 15:00.79. He was followed by seniors
Jake Porco (15:34.66) and
Frank Orlando (16:09.20), as well as first-years
James Adamo (16:08.90) and Joseph Ruben (16:23.79). First-year
Cillian Griffin wrapped up the weekend with a 10th-place finish in the 10,000 meters, clocking 35:25.86.
