Wilkes-Barre, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's track & field team notched several season and personal bests at the Monarch Open on Friday.
No team score was recorded, as Stevens competed against Caldwell, FDU-Florham, King's, Marywood, Misericordia, and Susquehanna.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Kevin Medrow ran a personal-best 4:10.45 to place second in the 1500m, while
Braedan Joyce also took second in the javelin with a throw of 50.40m.
Brandon Fox delivered a season-best 42.72m in the hammer to finish third, and
Rai Bindra jumped a personal-best 6.42m to take fourth in the long jump.
Brandon Kiefer followed with a fifth-place finish in the javelin (43.23m), while
Cooper Kinsley took fifth in the hammer (36.65m – season best).
Joseph Perriello placed sixth in the long jump (6.25m), and Fox added a sixth-place finish in the discus (38.06m – season best).
Bruno Santana-Ferro cleared 1.67m for seventh in the high jump, with
Justin Gajewski taking seventh in the long jump (6.05m).
Jerry Chen placed eighth in the javelin (37.71m) and twenty-second in the discus (21.97m).
In the 1500m,
James Adamo placed eleventh (4:20.85) and
Luke Giangrande finished seventeenth (4:45.85). Bindra also ran 25.44 in the 200m to place eleventh, while Kinsley threw 32.32m for fifteenth in the discus.
