Fleetwood, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team finished in second place after the two-day Moselem Cup, which concluded Tuesday.
The Ducks posted a two-day total of 627 (+39), including a 319 in the final round—the fourth-lowest team score of the afternoon. Allegheny claimed the team title with a total score of 611 (+51), while Arcadia and Franklin & Marshall tied for third.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Newcomer
Arav Tank led the Ducks by tying for fifth place with a +11 (151). He carded a 77 on Tuesday, which was tied for the fifth-lowest score of the day. Tank was particularly strong on the back nine, shooting +3 after a +4 on the front. He displayed consistency throughout the round, notching three consecutive pars on three separate occasions.
Maxime Debets followed closely behind, finishing +14 overall, including a +10 in the second round. The sophomore tallied two birdies—one on the par-3 fifth hole and another on the par-5 12th—and shot +5 on both the front and back nine.
Ben Slicker was third among the Stevens golfers, finishing +20 across the two days. He recorded a +12 on Tuesday and tallied seven pars on the back nine, contributing to a +5 over the final stretch.
Brock Dickson tied for 33rd overall at +23 after shooting a +10 in the final round. He notched a birdie on the par-4 sixth hole and played holes six through nine at one under par.
Sebastian Beaver rounded out the Stevens lineup, finishing one stroke behind Dickson in 35th place. Beaver highlighted his day with a birdie on the par-4 second hole.
