HOBOKEN, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology Department of Athletics hosted its year-end #AllRise Awards ceremony earlier this week, handing out hardware to 20 deserving individuals before a lively crowd inside the DeBaun Performing Arts Center.
The event honored the 2024-25 academic year in Stevens athletics, both in and out of the classroom. Drew Casey, play-by-play announcer for StevensDucks.tv, hosted this year's iteration of the event.
Here is a complete list of award recipients:
- Newcomer of the Year (Awarded to male and female student-athlete who made the most significant contribution to team as a first-year student athlete): Allison Mitloff (Softball), Aidan Miller (Men's Tennis)
- John A. Davis Award (Awarded to one student-athlete who, in addition to their athletic ability, exemplifies loyalty and devotion to the Institute, self-control and modesty, perseverance under adverse conditions, fairness to opponents, and observance of the rules of the game): Emily Smart (Field Hockey/Women's Lacrosse)
- Comeback Story of the Year: Student-Athlete who suffered injury and battled back to competition this year): Nate Lapat (Men's Lacrosse)
- Raveche Award (Awarded to the male and female senior student-athlete who best combines academic and athletic excellence with the ability to lead in the classroom and in competition): Emily Leiby (Women's Lacrosse), Bryan Creamer (Men's Lacrosse)
- Lisa Fe Roldan Distinguished Alumna Award (Awarded to an alumna who has given back to the Stevens athletic community): Samantha Schattin (Softball)
- Stevens Staff Appreciation Award (Awarded to a member of the Stevens community to honor the awardee's contributions to the department over the last year, or a group of years, or for consistent support of our teams and programs): Sid Rochlani (Athletics Content Creator)
- Robbins Scholar-Athlete Award (Awarded to the highest male and female cumulative grade-point average among athletes that have been of a varsity athletic team for at least three years): Sophie Patz (Women's Swimming), Rai Bindra (Men's Track and Field), Tyler Christensen (Men's Volleyball), Brandon Rogers (Men's Volleyball)
- Edwin "Doc" Farrell Award (Awarded to a member of the athletic department who best exemplifies the ideals of integrity, service, conduct, and dedication to Stevens Athletics): Eric Rose (Executive Director of Student Wellness)
- Max Klimkeit Award (Awarded to a member of the Stevens community who best exemplify the ideals of sportsmanship and spirit): Megan Curtis (Softball)
- Irwin "Buzz" Seymour Award (Award to the male and female athletes of the year): Stefanie Sellitto (Women's Lacrosse), Ryan Smith (Wrestling)
- Gear and Triangle Awards (Established in 1928, the Gear and Triangle award is given annually to one male and one female senior student-athlete that were selected as the best athletes of their graduating class): Cleo Shannon (Women's Volleyball), Jessica Guerrero (Softball); Koby Sherman (Men's Volleyball), Jack Spellman (Men's Basketball)
