Ethan Stallone advanced to the finals of the 110-meter hurdles with a new school record to highlight the opening day for the Stevens Institute of Technology men's track & field team at the AARTFC Outdoor Regional Championships.
The Ducks did not record a team score through the first day of competition. York (Pa.) leads with 28 points, followed by Lebanon Valley College with 27.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Competing in his first AARTFC Outdoor Regional Meet, Stallone punched his ticket to tomorrow's finals with a school-record time of 14.47 seconds. He qualified third overall, trailing only Michael Anderson of Springfield (14.35) and Calder Diakite of Susquehanna (14.35). Stallone's performance shaved 0.08 seconds off his previous best of 14.55, set during the MAC Championships on May 3.
Liam Concannon competed in the 5,000 meters, placing 15th with a time of 15:17.2.
Jake Porco rounded out the Ducks' day-one competitors, finishing 16th in the 10,000 meters with a time of 33:07.34.
