LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Five members of the Stevens Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team were recognized by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) as Scholar All-Americans, as unveiled Tuesday morning.
Bryan Creamer,
Cooper Foote,
Shea Grant,
Finlay MacKnight, and
Tommy Robertozzi all earned recognition for their academic and athletic performance for the first time in their collegiate careers. Stevens' five selections were tied with Middlebury, RIT, and RPI for the second-most in all of Division III, trailing only Tufts, who had seven selections.
Additionally, Stevens was one of 54 Division III programs to receive the organization's Academic Team Award. This marks the fifth year the USILA has recognized individual programs, with the Ducks earning the honor all five times. The Ducks were one of four MAC programs to earn the honor and one of three to represent the MAC Freedom. A team grade-point average of at least 3.0 allows programs to earn the organization's Academic Team Award.
Head Coach Gene Peluso: "Throughout their careers, these student-athletes have demonstrated exceptional balance and unwavering focus in all they do. I'm incredibly proud of each one of them."
"Earning the team award once again is a remarkable achievement. A 3.69 team GPA, along with numerous student-athletes posting a perfect 4.0, is a clear testament to the fact that Stevens Institute of Technology fosters excellence both on the field and in the classroom."
Creamer, the 2023 and 2024 MAC Freedom Specialist of the Year/USILA All-American, was a key contributor on both ends of the field once again this past Spring. Offensively, he recorded three goals and four assists, while defensively, he tied for the team lead with 65 ground balls and ranked second with 18 caused turnovers. He posted a season-high eight ground balls against Tufts and added six ground balls and four caused turnovers against Messiah. In the MAC Freedom Championship Game win over DeSales, Creamer tallied a goal and an assist, then closed out his career with a season-best nine ground balls in the NCAA Tournament Second Round matchup against Gettysburg.
Foote won the third straight MAC Freedom Goalie of the Year honor for the Ducks, starting all 19 games during the season. The Baldwinsville, N.Y. native posted a .553 save percentage and 8.11 goals-against average, allowing six goals or fewer in seven of eight MAC Freedom regular season/Tournament contests, and recording at least 10 saves in more than half of his 19 appearances.
Grant was a strong contributor for the Ducks' relentless attack, finishing the year with 29 goals and 41 points. The Trumbull, Conn. native had at least two goals in nine games, with more noteworthy performances including two-goal, four-point efforts against both Springfield and Wesleyan, as well as a four-goal effort in the MAC Freedom semifinals against Misericordia.
MacKnight made an immediate impact in his first season as a Duck, earning MAC Freedom Midfielder of the Year recognition. The Williams transfer appeared in all 19 games and totaled 13 goals, 39 points, and 19 ground balls. He posted a season-high five points against Maritime and a season-best three goals against Union. In the MAC Freedom Championship Game against DeSales, MacKnight recorded four points (one goal, three assists) and added two ground balls.
Entering the season with 20 goals and 34 points across 35 games in 2023 and 2024, Robertozzi had a breakout season in 2025, scoring 56 goals and totaling 80 points. He notched at least four points in nine regular-season games, then tallied 15 more in two MAC Freedom Tournament contests, scoring 10 goals. In the regular season finale against Lebanon Valley and conference title game against DeSales, Robertozzi scored six goals in each game, adding four assists for a grand total of 16 points across the two performances.
