Fleetwood, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team won the Ursinus Season Opener on Monday, finishing five strokes ahead of runner-up Lancaster Bible.
Just six days removed from taking the season-opening William Paterson Fall Invite, the Ducks took the top spot at Moselem Springs Golf Course, shooting +18 during the second and final day of competition, the second-lowest team round of the day and three strokes better than their +21 on Sunday for a two-day score to par of +39.
Lancaster Bible finished Monday +16 and +44 for the tournament; Elizabethtown, who started the day just three shots back of the Ducks, carded +42 on Monday, finishing 27 shots back.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Jack Harris was the high finisher for Stevens, finishing tied for third among the 44 competitors at +7 after a six-over Monday highlighted by birdies on two of his first eight holes.
Brock Dickson finished in fifth, one shot back of Harris, birdieing the Par-4 16
th for the second day and birdieing the Par-3 5
th after bogeying the hole on Sunday.
Sebastian Beaver finished in a tie for 8
th, birdieing four of his first eight holes on Monday, including three in a four-hole stretch.

Arav Tank and
Noah Eide rounded out the Ducks' five-man squad. Tank birdied two holes and eagled the Par-5 7
th on Monday; Eide birdied the Par-4 10
th and Par-3 13
th on Monday.
As a team, the Ducks played the 13
th hole three-under, the 16
th hole two-under, and the 17
th one-under on Monday.
