Selinsgrove, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology golf team took fourth out of 14 schools at the Susquehanna University Fall Invite on Thursday, turning in a +27 (307) as a team.
The Ducks finished 14 shots back of the host River Hawks (+13, 293), who finished three shots ahead of runner-up Scranton (+16, 296), just three shots back of third place Catholic (+24, 304), and one shot ahead of Juniata (+28, 308), who rounded out the Top 5.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Individually, Alex Carey was the top finisher for Stevens, carding a 74 (+4), one of four who tied for sixth out of more than 65 total competitors. Ben Slicker finished one shot back of Carey, one of seven individuals who shot 75 (+5).
Udyat Sarangdevot had a strong outing in his collegiate debut, tying for 19th with a seven-over 77, Luke Snyder, also making his collegiate debut, tied for 40th with an 81 (+11), and Bryce Karty tied for 52nd with an 85 (+15).
