Doylestown, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's cross country team put three runners in the top-20 to lead the team to a third place finish at the Aggie Invitational on Saturday.
The Ducks totaled 89 points to finish behind Messiah (38) and York (Pa.) (46), while holding off DeSales (97) and Misericordia (125) in the team standings.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Jacob Nolan crossed 11th overall, covering the 8,000-meter course in 27:19.5, closing with a 16:32.8 final 6K after hitting the two-mile mark in 10:46.7. Daniel Jutras followed closely in 13th, posting a time of 27:23.4, while
Caleb Stephen (27:50.0) placed 19th.
Mick Barbi (28:09.1) and
Ryan Paradine (28:11.8) capped the scoring for Stevens with consecutive top-25 finishes.
Dylan Barrett (28:19.6) and
Markus Soennichsen (28:42.0) both finished inside the top 35, while
Ryan Shibles and
Joseph Ruben each turned in identical times of 28:46.2 to tie for 35th. Matt Hodorowski (29:40.3),
Cillian Griffin (30:04.5),
Kevin Medrow (30:11.9),
William Parker (30:14.4), and
Divyesh Narravula (30:36.1) formed a tight pack through the middle of the field.
Rounding out the lineup,
Ryan Kropac (30:48.6),
Nelson VanMaaren (31:00.7),
Colin Fisher (32:38.8), and
Christian Garofano (32:56.0) each added valuable depth to the effort.
