Lewisburg, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team opened up competition at the two-day The Gauntlet tournament on Sunday.
Through the opening 18 holes, Stevens shot a 310 (+30) and sit in 13
th place.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Jack Harris led the Ducks on day one with a four-over 74. After turning in a three-over 39 on the front nine, highlighted by steady pars on six of his first nine holes, the first-year settled in with a strong back nine. He played the inward half at just one over par, including a birdie on the par-three 16th, to finish as the team's top scorer.
Brock Dickson was close behind with a 77, carding a four-over 40 on the front before steadying with a three-over 37 on the back that featured a pair of pars down the stretch.
Ben Slicker opened with a red-hot front side, shooting one-under 35 with a birdie on the par-three second and a clean run of pars. He finished with a 43 on the back to sign for a 78.
Sebastian Beaver contributed an 81 after matching 40 and 41 on his two nines, while
Arav Tank rounded out the lineup with an 84, tallying a 42 on both the front and back.
