Lewisburg, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team placed 10th at The Gauntlet on Monday afternoon.
The Ducks finished one shot behind Oswego State and Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth foe York College. Drew University won the event with a +12 score, with Farmingdale State (+17), Franklin & Marshall (+20), McDaniel (+22), and Mount Aloysius (+35) rounding out the top-five. The field saw several teams ranked in top-100 nationally, including Drew (55), F&M (51), McDaniel (78), and York (68).
HOW IT HAPPENED
First-year
Jack Harris paced the Ducks with a team-low 72 to finish tied for 11th. After turning in a four-over 40 on the front nine, Harris surged on the back with a two-under 32 that included birdies at 11, 13, and 16 to post the lowest round of the day for Stevens.
Ben Slicker (T-25th) and
Arav Tank (T-51st) were next in the lineup, each carding matching 73s. Slicker went out in 38 before closing strong with a one-over 35 on the inward nine, while Tank balanced a three-over 39 on the front with an even-par 34 on the back, highlighted by birdies on holes 10 and 18.
Sebastian Beaver (T-62nd) added an 80, playing the back nine in 38 with a birdie on the par-three 16th to steady his round.
Brock Dickson (T-62nd) rounded out the team's scoring with an 84, including a birdie on the par-three 10th..
