last season, Finch earned Second Team recognition from d3baseball and First Team recognition from ABCA/Rawlings; Krese was named Second Team on both lists; Wolf was named First Team by ABCA/Rawlings and Third Team by d3baseball; Zitko was selected Second Team by d3baseball.
The MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Year last season for his relief efforts, Finch moved into the starting rotation this season and posted similarly dominant figures. The Brentwood, Tenn. native finished the year 7-1, including 5-1 in seven conference starts, during which time he tossed both of his complete games during. He struck out 76 batters – a Top 10 single-season program mark – while holding hitters to a sub-.200 batting average (every other qualifying pitcher in the conference had at least a .230 batting average against).
Krese posted a third straight superb season for the Ducks, ranking among the Top 5 in the conference in runs, hits, total bases, walks, and on-base percentage. Krese set the single-season program record for runs, scoring in each of the final 16 games of the season; he also posted single-season Top 10 marks in hits, doubles, total bases, on-base percentage, and OPS. His 22-game hitting streak from late March through late April was the longest for the program in 20 years.
The d3baseball Rookie of the Year/Second Team honoree from 2024, Wolf turned in a stellar 2026 campaign after missing nearly the entirety of the 2025 season to injury. Wolf again battled through an injury this season that cost him more than 10 games, though he still finished third on the team in home runs (six), second in RBI (32), and fourth in batting average (.355), including a .396, three-homer, 14-RBI clip in 14 MAC Freedom appearances. On the mound, the southpaw tallied three saves in his seven appearances spanning 12.2 innings, yielding microscopic totals in opponent batting average (.140), WHIP (1.03), and ERA (0.71).
Zitko started the year slow but went on an absolute tear late. After recording just seven hits in his first 33 at-bats, the Carlsbad, Calif. native finished the year with 47 hits in his final 111 at-bats, raising his average from .212 as high as .385 before finishing the year at .375. His eight home runs and 40 RBIs were both tops on the team, as were his nine games with multiple RBI, which featured the team's only six-RBI game of the year against FDU-Florham in MAC Freedom play.
