PRINCETON, N.J. - Junior outside hitter Greg Higgins (Kenmore, N.Y./Kenmore West) recorded 10 kills and four digs, but the Stevens Institute of Technology men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (30-19, 30-23, 30-18) decision to Division I Princeton on Wednesday night at Dillon Gym.

Playing its first match in two weeks, Stevens (20-7) had its eight-match winning streak snapped.  The Ducks, ranked fourth in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III coaches poll, have faced three Division I teams this season.  Princeton (4-11) hit .405 for the match and a near flawless .720 (19-1-25) in the opening game.

The Tigers received 18 kills from Blake Robinson who hit .625 for the match (18-3-24).  Peter Eichler had 13 kills while Sean Vitousek added 10.  Princeton dominated the match at the net with 12 total team blocks.  Stevens committed 31 errors - a season-high for a three-game match.

Senior Brian Woodworth (San Jose, Calif./Bellarmine Prep) and junior Chris Bock (Empangeri, South Africa/University-Fla.) had eight kills apiece for Stevens.  Freshman setter Steve Strollo (Nesconset, N.Y./Smithtown) had 21 assists while playing the first two games.

Stevens closes out NECVA Metro play on Saturday, April 2, when it travels to Mount Saint Vincent for a 1 p.m. match.
