Doubles are Solid for Women's Tennis

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (March 13, 2012) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team lost to Saint Lawrence University by a 6-3 final score on Tuesday. The Duck first and second doubles teams won their match-ups, as did Lisa Tessitore (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.) at fifth singles.

At first doubles, Tessitore teamed with Jessica Bourque (Houma, La.) to win 8-3. Seniors Mine Bese (Secaucus, N.J.) and Nicole Portner (Shamong, N.J.) won at second singles in a 8-4 final.

Bourque pushed her first singles matchup to three sets before falling 64, 1-6, 6-2.

Tessitore won rather handily at fives, 6-2 and 6-3.
