(May 6, 2012) – The Stevens Institute of Technology baseball team ended its regular season with a 14-4 loss at St. John Fisher College on Sunday afternoon at Dugan Yard in Rochester, N.Y. Freshman Marc Calleo (Bayville, N.Y.) stole a base, walked, laid down a sacrifice bunt and drove in a run in two official trips to the plate with a hit. Senior Ryan Kiczek (Rutherford, N.J.) swiped a bag, while sophomore Curt Lowenstein (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) scored once. Kiczek and Lowenstein both recorded singles in the loss.

On the mound, junior Kevin Mathews (Jackson, N.J.) suffered his first loss of the season in 3.1 innings pitched. Mathews allowed 11 hits and seven earned runs before five other pitchers finished off the game.

The Ducks will know their fate for the rest of the season after the ECAC announces its Metro Bracket later tomorrow night.
