HOBOKEN, N.J. (February 1, 2014) – The seventh-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology men's swimming team defeated Hartwick College, 144-112, on Senior Day at the De Baun Aquatic Center in front of a capacity crowd.
The Ducks turned in the top time in 12 of the 14 events raced to earn the win in eight seniors final home dual-meet. Prior to the meet Stevens honored

The Ducks took the top-two spots in the 200-medley relay to open the meet as sophomore
Ravi Sun, sophomore
Joshua Lefeber, junior Jack Rees and Hessler turned in a winning time of 1:36.40.
Freshman
Mark Lippert carded a 9:52.87 and placed second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:52.87), while sophomore
Tomasz Wolinski earned the top-spot in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:42.69. Junior
Alex Xu was third in the 200-free with a 1:45.88.
Sun won the 100-yard backstroke, clocking a 51.85, and he was followed by Hanak in second with a 52.29. Lefeber, sophomore

Alex Chen swept the top-three spots in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.13, 1:01.78, 1:03.57), and freshman
Austen Young and junior
Price Hu went two-three in the 200-yard butterfly (1:56.81, 1:57.48).
Hessler earned a win in his specialty – the 50-free – touching the wall at 21.63, while Hanak and Noga were first and third in the 100-yard freestyle with times of 47.51 and 48.31.
Sun's second win of the day was in the 200-yard backstroke thanks to a 1:54.98, and he was followed by freshman Douglas Sholander in third (2:01.45). Pilcher, Chen and Xu swept the top-three places in the 200-breaststroke after doing the same in the 100-breast, and Wolinski and Arcuri went one-two in the 500-free, pocketing times of 4:46.64 and 4:48.34.
Stevens swam the final three events in exhibition, but Rees would have won the 100-fly with a 52.50, Sun would have won the 200-IM with a 1:56.58 and the all-senior 400-yard freestyle relay team of Huyett, Hernandez, Hessler and Hanak had the top-time with a 3:11.70.
The Ducks finish their dual-meet season with an overall record of 3-1 and will now turn their attention toward preparing for the Empire 8 Championships slated to run from February 19-22 in Ithaca, N.Y.
