York, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's swim team extended their first-place lead at the 2026 Middle Atlantic Conference Swimming Championships on Saturday.
Stevens has totaled 1,186 points through three days, as York is second with 1,040.5. Misericordia sits third with 693 points, with Arcadia (656 points) and Widener (611.5) rounding out the top-five.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Deo Bove and Cortelli both reached the podium in the 200-butterfly. Bove earned silver in 1:56.60, while Cortelli followed closely in third with a time of 1:57.83. Bove narrowly missed first, finishing just .57 seconds behind the winner.
Lukas Mikulenas and
Cooper Moffatt went 2-3 in the 100-breaststroke, with Mikulenas placing second in 58.15 and Moffatt third in 59.06.
Ethan Emerton added another silver medal for Stevens in the 100-backstroke, finishing second in 52.12 and edging third place by .29 seconds.
Three additional Ducks joined Mikulenas and Moffatt in the A final of the 100-breaststroke.
Jason Scheckner placed fifth in 59.53,
James Johnson took sixth in 59.98, and
Gailen Davis finished seventh in 59.99.
Will Hyde (2:01.86) and
Kyle Phillips (2:03.52) placed fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 200-butterfly.
Leo Timmermann finished seventh in the 100-backstroke in 54.14. In the 800-freestyle relay, the quartet of Moffatt,
Yusuf Tokuz,
Kerem Dogruer, and Emerton placed 12th.
UP NEXT
Stevens closes out the MAC Championships tomorrow, with preliminaries beginning at 9:30 am and finals scheduled for 5:30 pm. Events on the final day include the 1,650-freestyle, 100-freestyle, 200-backstroke, 200-breaststroke, and the 400-freestyle relay.
