Field Hockey Hosts Elmira Saturday In Regular Season Finale

HOBOKEN, N.J. (October 30, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey team will conclude its regular season Saturday when it hosts Elmira College in Empire 8 Conference action. 

GAME INFO
Game time is set for 5 p.m. at the De Baun Athletic Complex in Hoboken.

LAST TIME OUT
Junior Nolie Prouty scored two goals to lead the Ducks to a 4-3 win over SUNY-Oneonta last Saturday. The win was the second in-a-row for Stevens.

SCOUTING REPORT
Coming off a Wednesday win against Wells College, Elmira brings a 5-11 record into Saturday's game. Alli Gilbert leads the Soaring Eagles with four goals and 14 points, while Atu Machika has three goals and two assists.

RUN OF SUCCESS
The Ducks have won eight games in-a-row against Elmira dating back to the 2007 season. 

WHAT'S AT STAKE
The Ducks have wrapped-up a spot in next weekend's E8 Championship, and will clinch the third seed with a win on Saturday. Stevens can fall into the fourth place position with a loss and wins from either Washington & Jefferson College, or Nazareth College. 

STAYING BALANCED
Stevens features eight players who've scored at least one goal this season, and five who've scored at least six. Senior Dailyn Brook and sophomore Victoria Alvarez lead the team with nine goals each.

LEADING THE EMPIRE
The Ducks enter the final weekend of the regular season top-two in the E8 in scoring average, points, goals, and assists.

CRUNCH TIME
Junior Taylor Welch has scored or assisted in four of the Ducks last five games. The veteran is fourth on the team this season with 17 points. 

HOME COOKIN'
Stevens has won six of its last seven games in Hoboken, including the last two in-a-row.
