HOBOKEN, N.J. (November 5, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team will be seeking its ninth consecutive Empire 8 Conference Championship this weekend when it takes the pitch in Ithaca.
CHAMPIONSHIP INFOThe Ducks will battle Houghton College Friday at 2 p.m. in the semifinal for the right to play either Ithaca College or Elmira College in Saturday's final. All matches will be played on Ithaca's campus.
DUCKS VS THE FIELDStevens is unbeaten in its three matches against this season's field including draws with Elmira and Houghton, and a 1-0 win over Ithaca.
DUCK DYNASTYIn addition to the eight consecutive conference titles, Stevens hasn't allowed a goal in championship play since the 2011 season. Since joining the conference for the 2007 season, the Ducks are 14-0-2 in the championship with just four goals allowed.

Colin Phillips and
Carson Pryor lead the Ducks with 14 goals each, placing them in a tie for second in the conference.
TOP OF THE HEAPAs a team, the Ducks led the E8 this season in scoring average, goals, assists, and goals against average.

Jeff Althoff led a Stevens defense that allowed just 17 goals this season, and never allowed a multi-goal game to a conference opponent.

Jay Mikula has registered an assist in five of the Ducks last eight matches, bringing his season total to a team-leading eight. The mark is good for second in the E8.
CAPTAIN CLUTCHFive of Phillips' 14 goals this season have been game-winners, placing the senior tops in the E8 in that category.
BID-SEEKINGWinning the championship this weekend would send the Ducks to their 14th consecutive NCAA Tournament.
