Men’s Soccer Looks For Third-Straight Win Saturday At Naz

HOBOKEN, N.J. (October 14, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team will head back out onto the road Saturday for an Empire 8 clash with Nazareth.

Match time is set for 1 p.m. at Golden Flyer Stadium in Rochester. 

LAST TIME OUT
Goals from senior Jay Mikula and sophomore Daniel Aversano, combined with a suffocating defensive performance equaled a 2-0 win over Staten Island Wednesday afternoon.

SCOUTING REPORT
Naz enters the weekend 4-7-1 (0-3-1) off a 3-0 win over Alfred State. Lucas Bennett is the team's leading scorer with five goals, while Brian Wilkin and Nate Ripic have combined for 74 saves splitting time in net. 

WHERE THEY STAND
Stevens stands in a tie for second place with Ithaca behind an unbeaten Houghton, while Naz sits in last as the only team without an E8 win.

STAY HOT
With Wednesday's goal, Aversano has now scored three in the last two games, and four in the last five. 

FIRST TIMER
Freshman keeper Mitko Bozinov recorded his first career shutout in Wednesday's win behind a pair of saves. The rookie is now 4-1-0 this season.

NUMBER TWO
At a 1.7 goals per game clip, Stevens is second in the conference in scoring.

Junior Tommy Dorsay sits fourth in the E8 in shots per game, leading the Ducks to the most in the conference.
