No. 4 Men’s Volleyball Returns To Action Wednesday

HOBOKEN, N.J. (March 29, 2016) – After a week off, the No. 4 Stevens Institute of Technology men's volleyball team takes on in state rival Ramapo College Wednesday.

MATCH DETAILS
First serve at the Bradley Center in Mahwah, N.J. is scheduled for 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Ducks traveled to Lake Wales, Fla. to take part in the Warner Invitational, hosted by Warner University. Stevens went 1-2, falling Grand View College before topping St. Ambrose College and host Warner.

BLOCK PARTY
Sophomore Thomas Burrell recorded nine total blocks and a season-high eight kills against Warner. Burrell tied his season-high with eight kills against St. Ambrose.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Senior Tim Ferriter tallied a career-high 18 digs to go along with 19 kills against Warner. Classmate Chris Vaughan narrowly missed a double-double against St. Ambrose and Warner, tallying nine digs in each.

ACES WILD
The Ducks have three players; junior Gabe Shankweiler, Ferriter and senior John Eddins all with 30 aces or more on the season. Stevens is out-acing its opponents 202-112.

TOP-15
Stevens ranks in top-15 nationally in several categories, including aces per set (14th), blocks per set (11th), and hitting percentage (sixth). Burrell is 13th individually in blocks per set, averaging 1.01 while Ferriter is 13th in kills per set (3.63) and points per set (4.45).

RAMAPO REPORT
The Roadrunners are 15-13 overall, and are 11-2 in the Skyline Conference. The only two conference losses have been at the hands of Kean University. Justin Feigeles leads Ramapo with 334 kills, while Mikhail Erushalimski has dished out 889 assists.

ROAD WARRIORS
The Ramapo match ends a stretch where the Ducks played six games on the road against one home contest. Stevens went 5-1 during the stretch, the lone loss coming to Grand View.
