No. 16 Men’s Travels To No. 20 Ithaca

HOBOKEN, N.J. (April 1, 2016) – After knocking off in-state rival Montclair State University, the No. 16 Stevens Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team heads north to take on No. 20 Ithaca College in an Empire 8 Conference game.

GAME INFO
Face-off at Higgins Stadium in Ithaca, N.Y. is scheduled for 12 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Stevens topped Montclair 8-7 on Wednesday, improving to 8-2 on the season.

ITHACA REPORT
The Bombers entered the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine poll at No. 20 last week and defeated rival SUNY-Cortland 18-12 Wednesday. Senior Scott Sidnam is a two-time E8 Goalie of the Year and the offense is led by Jake Cotton who has scored 18 goals and 28 assists.

E8 REPORT
Both sides are 1-0 in the Empire 8 so far this season. Ithaca routed Utica College 18-4, while the Ducks pounded Alfred University 22-10 last Saturday.

FERENTINI WINS IT
With the game on Wednesday tied at seven and the clock winding down, senior Matt Ferentini netted his second goal on the game to put the Ducks on top for good. 

BOOOOOOOOOTS
Sophomore John Boutureira recorded his first multi goal game of the season, running his total to five on the season.

TEAM LEAD
Senior Connor O'Shea took over the team lead in points with his two point outing on Wednesday, as the Ducks have four players with 30 or points. Seniors Matt Ferentini and Andrew Scrutchfield have 31 and 30 respectively, while freshman Max Bailey has 31 as well.

LAST MEETING
The Ducks fell to Ithaca twice last season. During the regular season, Ithaca came out on top 16-12, while the sides met four days later in the E8 Semifinals. Once again, Ithaca topped Stevens, this time 11-9.

CAREER DAY
Freshman Carson White made a career-high 15 saves against Montclair, including two in the final two minutes.
