HOBOKEN, N.J. (April 15, 2016) – The No. 21 Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team will continue its homestand Saturday when it hosts No. 27 Christopher Newport University.

The match is set to start at noon on the Stevens tennis courts in Hoboken.

LAST TIME OUT
Despite losing twice at doubles, the Ducks rallied with four wins at singles Wednesday in a 5-4 win over New York University. 

SCOUTING REPORT
The Captains enter the weekend 12-6 with ITA top-40 wins over North Carolina Wesleyan College, Chapman College, California Lutheran University, and Johns Hopkins University. David Reed has seen the bulk of the time at first singles, while Stevens Boslet/Chiraag Shetty has been the main doubles team.

BATTLE TESTED
Christopher Newport will be tenth opponent the Ducks have faced this season that's ranked in the ITA top-40.

ALL-AMERICAN
Senior Matthew Heinrich extended his team-lead in singles wins to nine Wednesday with a win at first. Heinrich's won seven of his last eight, all of which have come in straight-sets. 

POLL POSITION
The Ducks garnered their highest ranking in school history Thursday when they moved up to No. 21 in the ITA top-40. Heinrich moved to No. 2 regionally at singles, junior Charles Drake to No. 22, and Heinrich/Foran to No. 3 at doubles. 

PENCILED-IN
Heinrich and senior Ben Foran won their tenth match of the season at doubles Wednesday with a decisive 8-2 victory. The duo has seen all of its action this spring at the top spot. 

HEATING UP
After dropping three-straight singles matches in late March, sophomore Danny Polk has won four in-a-row.
