Men’s Lacrosse Hosts Naz On Senior Day

HOBOKEN, N.J. (April 29, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team hosts Nazareth College on Saturday for Senior Day.

GAME INFO
Faceoff at the DeBaun Athletic Complex is scheduled for 1 p.m. with the Senior Day festivities starting at 12:35 p.m.

#ALLRISE
The game has been selected as the AllRise Game of the Week. All fans will receive an AllRise t-shirt while supplies last.

LAST TIME OUT
The Ducks used a 10 goal first quarter to top Elmira College 22-3 last Saturday, moving the team to 13-3 and 6-1 in the Empire 8 Conference.

NAZ REPORT
Nazareth enters as 11-5 overall, and 6-1 in the E8. Luke Wooters and Troy Haefele are tied for team lead with 41 goals, while Wooters is tops with 98 points.

WHAT'S AT STAKE
Both teams have clinched a berth in the Empire 8 Conference Tournament that begins next week. The winner of the game will be the No. 2 seed in the tournament, and will host the loser next Wednesday.

FRESHMAX
Freshman Max Bailey recorded his second consecutive hat trick on Saturday, scoring three goals while tallying an assist. It was the fourth three goal or more effort from Bailey this season.

YES SERR
Senior Michael Serrante chipped in two goals and an assist in the victory over Elmira. Serrante's three point game was third of the season, including a hat trick in the season-opening win over Arcadia University.

PARKED ONE
Freshman Parker Marshall scored two goals in the affair, marking the first time that the first year player has scored multiple goals in a game.

UP, DOWN, SAME THING
With the Ducks killing a penalty, freshman Nicholas Carnovale won a faceoff and raced towards the goal, and scored scoring a mere 14 seconds after Elmira had scored the third of three straight goals. It was the second man-down goal the Ducks have scored this season.

FIRST OF THE YEAR
Senior Austin Boyd got the nod in goal against the Soaring Eagles, and responded by making six saves, including the 200th of his career. It was the first win of the season for Boyd.
