No. 23 Men’s Tennis Set For E8 Road Trip, No. 31 Skidmore This Weekend

HOBOKEN, N.J. (April 8, 2016) – The No. 23 Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team will travel to Elmira College and Ithaca College Saturday, before hosting No. 31 Skidmore College Sunday in Hoboken. 

WEEKEND INFO
The Ducks will start the weekend at 10 a.m. at Elmira, before driving over to Ithaca for a 3:30 p.m. match. Sunday's match will start at 1 p.m. on the Stevens Tennis Courts. 

LAST TIME OUT
The Ducks continued their dominance over Empire 8 Conference opponents last weekend with a pair of 9-0 wins of Alfred University and Houghton College. 

SCOUTING REPORT
Elmira brings a 7-6 record into the weekend, while last season's conference runner-up Ithaca is 4-3. Skidmore is 6-3 and coming off a 6-3 loss to No. 8 Amherst College. 

OWNING THE E8
Stevens hasn't dropped a match to an E8 opponent since Ithaca College in 2010, in a streak that's lasted 43 consecutive matches.  

TOP DUCKS
The Ducks have been led at singles this season by junior Charles Drake, senior Matthew Heinrich, and senior Ben Foran, all of whom have six wins. 

DOUBLES TROUBLE
Heinrich/Foran leads the Ducks with an 8-1 doubles record this season, all of which have come from the No. 1 spot. Foran is the Ducks individual doubles wins leader with 10. 

CONTINUING THE GRIND
Skidmore is Stevens' ninth opponent this season ranked in the ITA top-40.

ON THE BOARD
Sophomore David Schulz, junior Antonio Perich, and senior Jacob Thigpen each picked-up their first wins on the season last Saturday during the E8 doubleheader.
