ITAHCA, N.Y. (September 4, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team suffered its first setback of the season Sunday in the form of a 7-2 loss to Ithaca College.
The loss evened Stevens record at 1-1, while Ithaca moved to 1-0.
Ithaca grabbed the early lead with an 8-6 win at third doubles, before going up 2-0 with an 8-5 win at first. Junior

Sydney Zoretic brought the Ducks closer with an 8-5 win at second, giving the duo its second win of the season.
Ithaca responded with three straight wins at singles at second, fourth and first, before clinching the match with a 6-3, 6-2 win at fifth. Senior
Jillian Morneau won 10-4 in the third set at sixth to give Stevens a singles win, but Ithaca completed its victory with a three-set win at third to seal the Stevens loss.
The Ducks will open the home portion of their schedule next Saturday at 12 p.m.
