The Basics

• Score: New York University: 529 Stevens Institute of Technology Women's Swimming 332
• Location: Palladium Athletic Facility - New York, N.Y.
• Short Story: Junior Vincent Tavoletti earned first-place points with a victory in the 100-yard butterfly, but the Stevens Institute of Technology men's swimming team fell to New York University at the two-day NYU Fall Invitational.
• Of note: The event was held in a championship-style meet format.

Top Performers

• Tavoletti claimed the 100 fly crown after touching the wall in 51.33 seconds. The time was a mere 34 hundredths-of-a-second ahead of sophomore Stephen Barlow.
• The Ducks collected two of the top-three spots in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Junior Peyton Ouano, sophomores Jonas Lackey and Trevor Hinds and senior Matthew Burk finished the race in 1:26.81, while the team of freshman Kurt von Autenried, Barlow, junior Christopher Ludeke and freshman Theodore Jagodits placed third.
• Junior Sam Fuller nabbed second-place points in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing the race in 4:46.32.
• Sophomore Chris Rudel and freshman Ryan Ludemann finished second and third, respectively, in the 400 IM. Rudel reached the wall in 4:24.17 and Ludemann followed in 4:37.29.
• Jagodits earned seven points for the Ducks with a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle race.
• Fuller and Barlow teamed with Jagodits and sophomore Trevor Hinds to place second in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 7:16.59.
• Sophomore Daniel Rosenberger earned seven team points with a second-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle swim.
• Stevens earned 26 points in the 400-yard freestyle relay as Hinds, von Autenried, Lackey and Jagodits reached the wall in 3:12.16 to place second to close out the competition.
