How It Happened

The sophomore duo of Julia Earl and Isabella Calandra defeated Fisher's Kalli Saffran and Cassidy Bell at first doubles to open scoring.
Junior Sydney Zoretic and freshman Chelsea Braithwaite gave the Ducks a 2-0 lead with a straight-set win at second doubles over Taylor Slink and Amanda Pendergast.
Fisher claimed an 8-3 victory at No. 3 doubles to earn their first point of the match.
Saffran rebounded from the earlier setback at No. 1 doubles with a 7-6, 6-0 victory over Earl at No. 1 singles to tie the match.
Junior Victoria Piskarev sparked a run of five straight points for the Ducks with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Slink and No. 2 singles.
Braithwaite and Sargis earned their second singles wins of the weekend, winning each of their respective flights in straight sets to push the Stevens total to five and give the Ducks the match.
Calandra and Zoretic followed with victories to produce the final margin.
