Short Story: The Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team earned its second straight Empire 8 Conference sweep Saturday with a 9-0 victory over The Sage Colleges.

How It Happened

The Ducks earned victories in all three doubles flights to take a 3-0 lead.
The sophomore duo of Julia Earl and Isabella Calandra dropped only a single point to Sage's Sammantha Montague and Rebecca Jackson at first singles.
Junior Sydney Zoretic and freshman Chelsea Braithwaite gave the Ducks a 2-0 lead with their second consecutive 8-5 victory at No. 2 doubles.
Sophomore Nicole Badalyan and junior Jill Hadwen finished the sweep with an 8-3 triumph at No. 3 doubles.
Earl bested Montague in straight sets at first singles to bring the Ducks to match point.
Freshman Makenna Sargis downed Samantha Dibbell, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 6 singles to give Stevens the victory.
Junior Victoria Piskarev joined Calandra, Braithwaite and Zoretic in earning singles flight victories to complete the sweep.
