POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Freshmen led the charge for the Stevens Institute of Technology men's fencing team as they went a perfect 8-0 at the Vassar Invitational Sunday in Poughkeepsie. 

The team fenced to a clean sweep with wins over Hunter College (20-7), Drew University (21-6), Vassar College (19-8), University of the Incarnate Word (18-9), Haverford College (17-0), Sacred Heart University (20-7), Yeshiva University (24-3), Army (25-2). 

Top Finishers

• At epee, freshmen Wolfe Crouse, Andy Faubert and Tom Gana led the way with scores of 12-3, 11-3 and 11-3, respectively. 
• Freshman Logan Rechler finished 13-2 on the day in his debut at foil. 
• Also at foil were seniors George Allan and Ryan Edelstein who ended the day at 10-6 and 10-5, respectively.
• In sabre, freshman Vaughn Rice dominated with a record of 13-4. 
• Sophomore sabreist Juan Amezquita finished with a score of 13-2.

• Stevens will take on powerhouses Columbia and Johns Hopkins on Friday Nov. 16 at the Columbia Duals.
