CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (February 3, 2019) — The Stevens Institute of Technology men's fencing team finished with a 4-1 record after defeating Brandeis University (14-13), Brown University (15-12), Yeshiva University (27-0), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (15-12) at the Eric Sollee Invitational on Sunday.
The Ducks' only loss came to Boston College by a score of 16-11.
All three squads swept Yeshiva for a 27-0 victory. The epee squad were victorious against BC (6-3), Brandeis (8-1), and MIT (6-3). Foil squad was topped Brown (6-3), while Sabre squad defeated Brown (5-4) and MIT (6-3).Â
Epee
- Freshmen Andy Faubert and Wolfe Crouse both went undefeated against BC and Brandeis.
- Faubert led the epee squad with his 10-2 record.
- Crouse registered a 9-3 finish.
- Freshman Tom Gana ended the day at 4-3.
- Senior Brennan Casey finished 2-1 against Brandeis.Â
