Harden's Thoughts
  • "The course was rolling grass hills and the majority of it was exposed to direct sunlight.  Temperature during the race was around 85 degrees, so it was not a day for personal bests. Our focus today was on executing our race plan, running in groups and moving through the field over the course of the race. Collectively, we did a great job of achieving these goals, and our group continues to improve every day."
  • "Fantastic start to the season by our women's team. They held back early, worked together in small groups, moved up during the second and third miles and finished strong.  Trinity and Kristin led the way for us, staying consistent throughout and picking off remnants of the initial lead pack. Rachel had an outstanding debut, displaying steady pacing, strength, and tenacity over the final mile. Caroline took a risk by going out competitively and she fought valiantly over the final mile to finish as our fifth scorer.  She has made a huge leap in her training and mindset."

Up Next
  • Women's cross country returns to the course on Saturday, Sept. 7 for the annual Ron Stonitsch Invitational, hosted by Vassar College.
