Glassboro, N.J. - The Stevens Institute of Technology women's cross-country team placed 20^th out of 31 teams at the Rowan Border Battle Saturday afternoon.

With nearly 300 competing runners, the Ducks totaled 543 points, more than 50 points clear of the next-closest team, and within 25 points of both St. John Fisher and Mary Washington. Carnegie Mellon dominated the event, putting its five scoring runners in the top 17 (32 points), finishing nearly 100 points clear of runner-up Johns Hopkins (127).
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Kaitlyn Adams was the Ducks' high finisher, running 22:44.1 for 42nd place. Isabella Gabay was six seconds back of Adams in 52nd place. Madeline Bender was the third Duck over the finish line, crossing in an even 24:30.0. Isabel Vogel and Taylor Enes crossed less than a second apart in 208th and 209th (25:31.1 and 25:31.7), rounding out the Stevens scoring quintet. Kate Cen ran 25:53.3 for 225th and Catherine Bondi finished in 229th in 25:58.6. Anya Sadowski (234, 26:16.3), Emily Laudman (246th, 26:51.4), and Annika Villanueva (283rd, 30:01.8) completed the Stevens contingent.
