NEWARK, N.J. (February 16, 2020) – Stevens Institute of Technology men's fencing coach
Jim Carpenter set a new program record for career wins Sunday after the Ducks finished with a perfect 5-0 record in the MACFA Group "B" vs. Group "C" Invitational.
Carpenter, now in his eighth season as the head coach of Stevens, has produced 185 victories in his career and has surpassed the previous record set by legendary head coach and 1997 Stevens Hall of Fame inductee Clifford Kirmss as the all-time winningest coach in program history.
In the event, Stevens knocked off Haverford University, William & Mary University, the University of Maryland, Navy and Johns Hopkins University.
