KANSAS CITY, Mo. (December 14, 2022)  – For the second straight year, the Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer coaching staff was named Region IV Coaching Staff of the Year, the United Soccer Coaches announced.

The Ducks' staff, led by seventh-year head coach Dale Jordan, and assistant coaches Chris Koch, Patrick Masur and Jordan Schreer, will be recognized at the College Coaches Awards Ceremony at the United Soccer Coaches Convention on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

"This award truly is the hard work of the student-athletes, who make the job of the coaching staff so much easier; their dedication and work ethic led to incredible results on the field," Jordan said. "The team behind the team is also important in ensuring that our student-athletes are game-ready and injury-free. We have the best athletic trainer in the country in Allie McDavitt, who goes above and beyond daily to deliver the best sports medicine practices to our student athletes. In the weight room, Ryan Linder and his training and planning has taken the team to another level and the results have been very obvious on the field.

"Within our coaching staff, in Patrick Masur, we have the most dedicated volunteer coach. The amount of his free time he dedicates to this team while having a full time job is outstanding. Pat passes on his expertise and having been a decorated student-athlete at Stevens and our student-athletes really look up to him. We added Jordan Schreer to the coaching staff this year and his role working with the keepers has produced amazing results, which helped the program reach next heights this season. Finally, Chris Koch is one of the top assistant coaches in the country at any division. His work rate, energy and ability has been the driving force in helping the program progress to where it is during his three years at Stevens."

Jordan and staff piloted the Ducks to one of the most successful seasons in program history, guiding the Ducks to a 17-1-5 and the program's second-ever appearance in the national semifinal. The Ducks won their second MAC Freedom title and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the 18th time in program history. Stevens hosted both regional and sectional pods in the NCAA tournament and finished the season ranked third by the United Soccer Coaches and second by D3Soccer.com.

Individually, the Ducks totaled three All-America selections with senior Bruno Andino earning first-team honors, while graduate student Adam Silva and senior Justin Cross played their way onto the third team. A total of five Ducks landed on the United Soccer Coaches All-Region IV Team, with seven earning all-conference honors.

"Last but not least, the athletic department at Stevens allows the coaching staff to perform at their best by providing an elite environment for the student athletes to be successful in," Jordan commented. "Fom training and equipment to social media and the game day experience and our home field, our student-athletes have a first-class experience and that's due to the hard work from Mike Lippencott, Emily Kaczmarek, Alison Pantazes, Keith Kinsella, Charles O'Brien, Megan Haughey, and our Athletic Director Russell Rogers."

A total of 52 coaching staffs (26 men's and 26 women's) were recognized by the United Soccer Coaches. The recognition marked the first time in program history that Stevens received the regional honor from the United Soccer Coaches in consecutive seasons.
