Bethlehem, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's track & field team began their indoor season as a trio of student-athletes competed in the pentathlon at the Fast Times Before Finals Meet Friday.
No team score was recorded as the Ducks battled competitors from Widener, Stockton, and Lehigh.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Isabella Shanley sits fifth overall through five events with 2847 points. The sophomore took second in the 800 (2:29.78), fourth in the 60-meter hurdles (10.04) and long jump (4.74m), and sixth in the high jump (1.47m) and shot put (7.52m).
Stephanie Ryazanova (2375 points) and
Maya Lapinski (2328 points) were sixth and seventh, respectively.
Ryazanova was tied for fourth in the 60-hurdles (10.2), fifth in the 800 in 2:46.17, seventh in the high jump (1.38m) and long jump (4.58m), and eighth in the shot put (5.78m). Lapinsk tied for fourth in the high jump (1.5m) and took seventh in the 60-hurdles (10.92), shot put (6.82m) and long jump (4.71m), and eighth in the 800 (3:01.59).

The Ducks compete in a pair of meets tomorrow. They close out the Fast Times Before Finals while also heading to Alvernia University's Winter Meet.
