Box Score Marshall, Texas – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team fell to East Texas Baptist University, 4-0, in the first match of their Spring Break trip Tuesday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Stevens (1-3) picked up a win at No. 2 doubles, with the
Alix Dry/
Milagros Carbajal Diaz pairing picking up a 6-4 win, but the Tigers took No. 1 and No. 3, picking up the early point.
Dry had the top finish in singles play, winning the opening frame 6-2. After falling 7-5 in the second set, Dry dropped the tiebreaker, 10-8, in the third.
Emma Eguia was knocked off 6-4, 6-4 in the fifth flight, as
Lorena Piegas was topped 6-2, 6-3 at No. 4.
