Abbotstown, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team finished 10th at the McDaniel College Spring Invitational, which concluded on Sunday.
The Ducks shot a +17 (305) in the final round, improving by 21 strokes from their opening round. Gettysburg claimed the team title with a +25, posting a +5 on Sunday, while Franklin & Marshall finished second at +34.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Ben Slicker led the way for Stevens, firing an even-par 72 to tie for seventh place overall. His 72 was the third-lowest score of the day and a seven-shot improvement from Saturday. Slicker played the front nine in two over but rebounded with a two-under back nine. He birdied both par-fives on the final nine and added another birdie on the par-four 12th hole.
Brock Dickson tied for 20th at +12, carding consistent rounds of +6 on both days. He opened with four pars and played the final five holes at even par, highlighted by a birdie on the par-three 14th.
Sebastian Beaver made a 14-spot jump on the leaderboard after shooting +5 on Sunday, finishing +17 overall. He capped his round with a birdie on 18 and played holes 12 through 18 at even par.
Evan Murphy improved by six strokes from his Saturday round, finishing 55th at +19. He played his best golf on the back nine, carding a +1 (37) and recording four birdies, including on holes 14, 16, and 18.
Maxime Debets also made strides, improving by eight strokes to finish 74th at +26. Like Murphy, he played the final nine at one over, capping his round with a birdie on 18 while recording six pars.

The Ducks return to Pennsylvania next week to compete in the Moselem Cup on Monday and Tuesday.
