Six Women's Lacrosse Players Named All-Region

Sullivan, Sellitto, Leiby, Connell Named First Team

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Six members of the Stevens Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team were named Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Boardwalk Region, as announced by the organization Friday.

Graduate students Quincy Connell and Emily Leiby earned First Team merit, as did juniors Stefanie Sellitto and Lauren Sullivan. Fellow juniors Maddie Hogan and Eran Gleason were named to the Second Team. The Ducks' six selections were four more than the other seven Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom teams earned COMBINED.

Recently named All-MAC Freedom First Team and Defender of the Year for the third straight season, Sullivan adds a third straight All-Region First Team selection to her prolific list of accolades. While helping lead a Stevens' defense that has conceded just over six goals per game through two rounds of the NCAA Tournament, Sullivan has set new single-season highs in ground balls and caused turnovers, while collecting more draw controls as her combined 2023 and 2024 campaigns.

Sellitto repeats as All-Region First Team during a 2025 season in which she's etched her name in the program record books. After demolishing the single-season draw control record last year and moving into second place on the all-time list after just two seasons, Sellitto became the first player with 400, hitting the mark in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Sellitto is also first or second on the team in goals, points, and ground balls.

Leiby makes it three First Team repeats from 2024 after arguably her finest season as a Duck. The Schnecksville, Pa. native set career-highs in assists, points, ground balls, and caused turnovers, recording hat tricks in 12 games, averaging just under four goals per game in four postseason contests thus far.

Connell earns her third straight All-Region honor after being named to the Second team in both 2023 and 2024 at Trinity (Conn.). The graduate student was a thorn in the side of opponents from the season opener, averaging more than two ground balls, two caused turnovers, and 3.5 draw controls per contest, including three GBs, 3.5 CTs, and 4.5 DCs per game since the start of the MAC Freedom Tournament.

Gleason repeats as All-Region Second Team during a superb season in which she's set career-bests in ground balls and caused turnovers. Since the regular season finale, the Easton, Pa. native has averaged more than two ground balls and two caused turnovers per contest, including a two-GB, five-CT performance in the MAC Freedom Final against Lebanon Valley, helping her earn Tournament Most Valuable Player honors.

After becoming an increasing part of the offense late in 2024, Hogan was one of the most consistent pieces for the Ducks' attack this season, scoring at least one goal in every game (the only player on the team to do so), including a streak of 11 straight with at least two through the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament.

UP NEXT
The All-Region hexad will lead Stevens into their first-ever Sweet Sixteen on Saturday, when the Ducks face three-time reigning NCAA quarterfinalist Colby College at 11:30 from Waterville, Maine.
