Women's Cross Country Takes Second at Aggie Invitational

Adams Finishes Third to Lead Ducks

Doylestown, Pa. – Led by a third-place finish from Kaitlyn Adams, the Stevens Institute of Technology women's cross country team raced to a second-place team finish at the Aggie Invitational Saturday morning.
 
The Ducks totaled 93 points to secure runner-up honors, finishing behind Messiah (37), while edging York (Pa.) by a single point (94). Misericordia placed fourth with 111 points.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Adams continued her impressive start to the season, placing third overall with a time of 24:16.9 over the 6,000-meter course, including a closing 4K split of 11:12.3. Teammate Isabella Gabay wasn't far behind, crossing seventh in 24:47.7 after matching Adams' opening two-mile pace.
 
Madeline Bender (25:53.6) and Kate Cen (26:31.7) provided valuable depth with top-30 finishes, while Catherine Bondi (27:14.2) and Taylor Enes (27:35.2) added top-50 performances. Rounding out the lineup, Anya Sadowski (29:16.6) and Annika Villanueva (29:55.8) delivered steady efforts to help the Ducks hold off York for second place.
 
UP NEXT
The Ducks return to competition on Saturday at the Lock Haven Invitational, with the women's race set to begin at 10:45 a.m.
