Lock Haven, Pa. – Junior
Kaitlyn Adams and sophomore
Isabella Gabay turned in the two fastest 6K times since 2017 for the Stevens Institute of Technology women's cross country team at the Lock Haven Invitational on Saturday.
Competing in the 6K Crimson Race, the Ducks totaled 455 points to finish 17th overall. Walsh captured the team title with 28 points, while Davis & Elkins placed second with 66. Stevens trailed Division III foes Lebanon Valley (seventh place) and Point Park (ninth place).
HOW IT HAPPENED
Adams led the Ducks with a 41st-place finish, clocking 22:59. Her effort marked the program's first sub-23:00 6,000-meter performance since Mary Visca ran 22:27.9 at the Highlander Invitational on October 7, 2017. Gabay followed closely in 45th, crossing in 23:04.1 while trimming nearly 27 seconds off her previous personal best.
Catherine Bondi was the third Duck across the line, placing 144th in 25:20.3—a time more than a minute faster than her prior career best. Senior
Kate Cen finished two spots back in 146th with a career-best 25:21.9.
Also contributing to the team's showing,

Anya Sadowski (162nd, 26:36.6) and junior
