HOLMDEL, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's cross-country team commenced the Fall 2025 season Saturday morning with a strong group effort at the Back to the Bowl Invitational, taking third of all competing teams, second among D-III opposition.
Stevens tabulated 64 points, just seven points back of Stockton, and more than 60 points ahead of the next-closest team, Delaware Valley, who finished with 130 points; Division I institution Wagner took the top spot with 23 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Isabella Gabay and
Kaitlyn Adams finished first and second, respectively, among all D-III runners (4
th and 7
th overall) with Gabay crossing the finish line in 20:35.90 and Adams posting 21:22.40.
Madi Bender finished 11
th overall (fifth among D-III), running 21:52.20;
Kate Cen placed 21
st overall, crossing in 22:46.90 and
Catherine Bondi finished 20 seconds behind Cen in 24
th.

Annika Villanueva (45
th, 26:31.40).
Saturday's event was hosted by Stevens, the program's first home meet in 14 years.
INSIDE THE MEET
- The Ducks were the only D-III team with two Top-7 and three Top-11 finishers
- The team's top-5 runners all finished 22nd or better; Stockton was the only other D-III team with even two runners in the Top 22
