Chester, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's track and field team set a pair of personal bests and an all-time Top 10 program mark at Danny Curran Invitational on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Chad Francis inserted himself onto the all-time Top 10 leaderboard in the 200 meters, running 22.71, eighth in program history.
Ian Rodriguez ran 22.93 that, before Saturday, would have been 10
th on the all-time list.
In the hammer throw,
Cooper Kinsley set a personal best with a top toss of 40.86 meters, while
Manny Vega fell just .02 meters shy of his personal-best with a top toss of 39.16.
Vega wasn't the only Duck who fell .02 meters shy of a PR on Saturday;
Chris Persico cleared 4.10 meters in the pole vault, entering the day with a personal-best of 4.12.
