Scholl, Chhabra, Maddison Named Men's Basketball All-MAC Freedom

Annville, Pa. – Tommy Scholl, Harmehar Chhabra, and Kyle Maddison of the Stevens Institute of Technology men's basketball team were all earned All-Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom honors, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Scholl and Chhabra were both named All-Conference First Team, the first major year-end honors for both; Maddison was named to the Second Team after earning First Team honors in 2024-25.

Jayden Thomas of DeSales won conference Player of the Year, Arcadia's Joshua Okocha was tabbed Defensive Player of the Year, Lebanon Valley's Giovanni Sejuste took home Rookie of the Year, and Delaware Valley's Adam Van Zelst earned Coach of the Year recognition.

Scholl was a scoring machine all season for the Ducks, reaching double figures in every game, with his average never dropping below 17.4 PPG; he finished the MAC Freedom Tournament averaging 18.1 for the year. Scholl scored at least 20 in 11 games, including three separate instances of back-to-back contests. The junior also pulled down at least seven rebounds 15 times and at least 10 rebounds on four occasions, notching double-doubles in each instance.

After averaging just over four rebounds and three assists over the first nine games of the year, Chhabra turned things up several notches while taking on the role of point forward after the new year. The junior averaged 7.6 rebounds and 5.1 assists over the final 16 games of the regular season, including four games with at least nine boards and seven assists, highlighted by a 12-point, 11-rebounds, 11-assist triple-double against Lebanon Valley in the penultimate game of the regular season.

Maddison matched Chhabra averaging 14.3 points per game for the season, reaching double figures in 24 of 27 games, including 15 games with at least 15. Maddison averaged just under two three-pointers per game, hitting three or more in six games, including a season-high five in a 26-point outing (tying his career-high) against St. Joseph's (Maine). Maddison also had six games with at least six assists and seven games with at least three steals.

The All-Conference trio combined for 43 points and 21 rebounds last Saturday as the Ducks won their fourth MAC Freedom Tournament Championship since the 2019-20 season with a 68-59 victory over Misericordia. Scholl was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player.

The Ducks' begin the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship on Friday at 5:45 with a first-round clash with Christopher Newport, 2023 National Champions.
